Książka zawiera wybór wierszy haiku, które powstały w ciągu piętnastu lat uprawiania przez autora tego gatunku poezji. Większość z zawartych tutaj utworów była wcześniej publikowana w wersji angielskiej. Całkiem sporo zdobyło nagrody i wyróżnienia na krajowych i międzynarodowych konkursach oraz znalazło się w najważniejszych antologiach poezji haiku w języku polskim i angielskim. Ernest Wit od wielu lat należy do światowej czołówki poetów haiku.
